Megan is originally from the suburbs of Chicago, where the love of physical fitness (and competition) was instilled in her at a young age. Growing up with five siblings, Megan was always very active and eager to try new sports. She played competitive soccer and volleyball through high school and continued her personal fitness in college. She attended college at Belmont University where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. Her husband, Lucas, was stationed at Cherry Point shortly before they were married in 2013. Without a job and any friends, Megan decided to try out CrossFit to see what all the hype was about. After taking a hiatus from competitive sports, CrossFit was a welcome change from the monotonous home workouts and boring cardio sessions she had been trudging through. Megan loves the genuine community and welcoming spirit that CrossFit provides to everyone who walks through the doors!
Megan loves the way CrossFit brings together people from all different walks of life. She hopes to be a coach that encourages, motivates, and pushes her athletes to do their absolute best, even when it feels difficult. She holds her CrossFit Level 1 Certification (2016) as well as her CrossFit Weightlifting Certification (2017).
Megan lives in Beaufort with her husband, Lucas, and two Italian Mastiffs, Willow and Zeus. She and her husband lead worship at their local church and occasionally perform at local restaurants and coffee shops on the weekends.
