BoneFit is a physical training program designed for individuals with Osteoporosis, Osteopenia, or those who display characteristics of the early stages of either condition. The program is based on a foundation of load bearing exercise, which provides the necessary conditions for the body to respond with an increase in bone density. BoneFit uses functional movements, which vary in time and physical domains. Members will focus on proper mechanics, so that they are moving anatomically correct, before they will be expected to increase loads or intensities in their workouts. Prior to starting, and at the 12-month mark (at a minimum), members will have access to bone density testing equipment in order to track their progress.
Iron Tide CrossFit and Carteret Health Care are committed to the members of this community. BoneFit was created to maximize potential for strengthening bones, and providing members with a positive, encouraging atmosphere; all while having a subsequent increase in physical capacity and vitality.
